Interested in volunteering with Just Speak??  We are looking for child advocates! It just might be YOU!    Speak up and get involved today by volunteering with Just Speak, Inc. New volunteers go through orientation training and our trauma & resiliency centered advocacy training. Our volunteers will be able to perform the following duties:

  • Program & Service Advocates: Volunteers may help with supporting and instructing youth and professional groups on various Just Speak, Inc. programs and services. They will also facilitate groups, serve on panels, and conduct workshops.
  • Administration: Volunteers may help with mailings, clerical duties, and errands.
  • Events: Volunteers may be social media experts or help with event tasks such as registration, set up and break down or serve on the fundraising event committee.

BUILD a Volunteer Marketing Team!

SEEKING Passionate Social Media /Marketing Volunteers

Do you have strong social media and leadership skills? Are you able to create, maintain and run a social media campaign? Are you resourceful, with substantial social media following? Do you have the time and desire to volunteer with a grassroots nonprofit focused on trauma-informed and healing-centered spaces for children and youth?

This position is excellent for a college student majoring in communications and/or marketing with strong social media skills.
Our VOLUNTEER would build and lead a team of social media folks (could be fellow classmates). The responsibility includes:

Building a team of public relations/marketing/communication majors
Creating and strengthening our existing social media presence
Promoting ALL events, fundraisers, projects, and activities of Just Speak Inc.
Writing and disseminating press releases, flyers, etc to appropriate sources
Posting on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram
Boosting participation and ticket sales
Creating successful campaigns for Giving Tuesday, Child Abuse Awareness, and our Storytelling Series-Starting Point.
Must work well under tight deadlines, and have considerable flexibility.

Volunteer to work with the Creative Director to choreograph dance steps or full routines for our Core Dance Team. Our movement-based project promotes resilience, healthy bodies, and emotional well-being for girls ages 7 to 15. Volunteers must be skilled in dance and able to volunteer 2-4 days weekly after school. Rehearsals are Monday-Wednesday from 4:30 – 6:45 pm, and Saturday 9 am – 12 Noon. High School students must have the consent of a custodial parent to volunteer and will receive volunteer hours.
