09.01.15 – Wayne State University Chapter of Just Speak Incorporated Just Speak Inc. introduces its programming to Wayne State University as the University’s first student organization for sexual abuse/assault!

06.03.14 – 1st Transformation Ball. Celebrating the successful completion of the outLOUD program for 16 middle school girls and their escorts. Held at Harper Woods Middle School. Sponsored by Valentes Men’s Formalwear, Target-Eastland, Nova Brown Brand Collection, Terri’s Cakes Detroit.

11.30.13 – Just Speak 10th Birthday Mash Up. Celebrating 10 years of service to the community bringing awareness and education about child sexual abuse.  Enjoy the vocals of Monica Blaire, hip-hop performers, DJ’s, live painting, face painting by Sandy’s Land, and more at 5e Gallery. Food. $10 donation

11.17.13 – Brunch and Learn. Mingle and learn about the programs and events Just Speak offers to the community. Enjoy the vocals of talented jazz vocalist, Marsha Todd-Evans and talented pianist, Mike Evans, while eating delicious food donated by local restaurants. This event is $5 per person

11.15.13 – and Ongoing – Hubert Massey, international public artist joins Just Speak for Mural Your Voice project. A collaboration of children’s stories, creative ideas and sketches to create a mural for child sexual abuse awareness. Children are invited to two sessions of storytelling and drafting to create a project for a final installation. This is a FREE event. Please email us for the next date.

11.14.13 –  HEAL hosted by JustSpeak, INC. bringing healing into the community with this evening full of health and well-being on behalf of child sexual abuse awareness. Get balanced and relieve stress with energy & movement. Be sustained with deliciously healthy & local food. GET WHOLE and  be a part of promoting healing and feeling safe in our bodies! African Dance, 15 minute massages, Reiki, Food & MORE…Only $5

10.25.13 – JUST SPEAK HOSTS: ALNOUR AFRICAN DANCE CLASS from 6pm – 7pm. This is a FREE community event. Donations accepted.

10.4.13 – Ongoing All welcome to the Open House & Registration for Just Speak on the Avenue youth-centered activities for ages 5-18 years. Drop-in workshops and presentations on teen and youth issues, including relationships, bullying sexual assault, coping and trauma; peer groups, art and art therapy, performances, poetry and exhibits weekly programs throughout the month.

9.20.13 –  Just Speak, Incorporated at the Detroit Design Festival with Revolve Detroit-spoken word and jazz series launched workshops and presentations on trauma and coping, teen dating violence, sexual assault and child abuse prevention. Read more here.
